Lakeesha is a native of Summerville, SC, a quaint town outside of Charleston, SC. She earned her undergraduate degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders and South Carolina State University. She then relocated to the DMW area to earn a Masters of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from Howard University.  She has obtained additional training from Western Carolina University in Autism & Severe Disabilities.  Lakeesha is certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and is licensed by Maryland and South Carolina's Boards of Examiners in Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology.

Lakeesha has experience in a variety of settings including: therapeutic day school, clinic and rehabilitation centers.

Lakeesha truly loves her work as an SLP and is passionate about providing services for adults and children in order to improve their quality of life.

Lakeesha is also a Dementia Specialist through PESI. She is currently training to become a Play Project Consultant, training patients to improve their interactions and communication with their child on the autism spectrum.

In her spare time, Lakeesha enjoys church activities, crafting and spending time with family.
